Zen Sushi, in the heart of Prati, was the first Japanese restaurant in Italy to introduce the kaiten, the conveyor belt on which sushi, sashimi and other specialties travel, offering an experience that engages both sight and taste. The venue opened in Rome in January 2002. The seats at the kaiten, from which you can watch the chefs at work preparing the dishes, are among the most sought after, but Zen Sushi also offers classic table service. The chefs, with international experience, combine the tradition of Japanese cuisine with Western taste, in an approach reminiscent of nouvelle cuisine. The setting, characterized by a minimal design, combines contemporary elements with references to Oriental aesthetics.
